Making Contributions to the New York Delta Chapter

We've all got stories about how our brothers and our chapter have helped us out at one time or another. We've also all got stories about how we have helped the chapter succeed.

But the success of the chapter depends upon the efforts of alumni of all ages. Alumni have the opportunity to become a part of helping their chapter grow and improve.

There are several ways to help the New York Delta Chapter. You pick the method that works best for you and have the opportunity to give back to the chapter that gave to you.

The New York Delta Facility Fund

Donations to the New York Delta Chapter Facility Fund helps provide needed support for the chapter facilities. Contributions to this fund are used for general purposes by the Alumni Board for facility projects. Donations to this fund are not tax deductible for income tax purposes.

To make a contribution to the New York Delta Facility Fund, make a check out to "NY Delta Alumni Board of Sigma Phi Epsilon" and indicate "facility fund" in the memo portion of your check. For tax purposes, donations to both funds must be made using a separate check for each fund.

The Sigma Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation

A generous contribution to the Sigma Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation allows you to provide direct support for NY Delta's upcoming scholarship programs. Donations made to this fund are invested and professionally managed by Sigma Phi Epsilon National Headquarters. Donations made to this fund are also tax-deductible.

A portion of the value of this fund is made available for scholarships for distribution by the New York Delta Alumni Board. So, as the value of the fund grows, the scholarships that can be supported also grows. Scholarship awards will begin when the New York Delta Fund reaches a significant value.

The first scholarship recipients will be determined based upon academic improvements alone. Future scholarships will be awarded based upon a wider range of criteria.

To make a contribution to this fund, please send your check made out to "Sigma Phi Epsilon Education Foundation" and mail to:

Please make sure that the memo of your check indicates "New York Delta Fund" to ensure that your donation is directed towards the correct chapter fund. For tax purposes, donations to both funds must be made using a separate check for each fund.

Volunteering Your Time

You don't necessarily need to donate money in order to make a contribution to the chapter. You can also volunteer some of your time to the chapter. Alumni can help out the chapter and its members through mentoring programs, alumni board participation, or organizational efforts.
