News York Delta Reopens Grassette House

After seven years, New York Delta has reopened Grassette House, located at 2009 Fifteenth Street in Troy, NY, for occupation by New York Delta actives. Grassette House was closed when the number of live-in members fell well below the maximum capacity of NY Delta's other two facilities, Paine House and Reinhardt House.

While Grassette House was closed to NY Delta actives, it was rented out by the New York Delta Alumni Board to other members of the Rensselaer community including local students, another fraternity and, most recently, to several local NY Delta alumni. During its rental period, Grassette House underwent massive improvements to its heating system and a kitchenette was added to the first floor.

The New York Delta Chapter is expected to have 30 live-in members for the upcoming Fall 1999 semester.
